Alhaji Abdulkadir Attahiru Adamu hails from Patigi Local Government area of Kwara State and holds a traditional title of Zannako of Etsu Patigi. The Coalition of Kwara North Groups (CKNG) was shocked when the news of the above subject matter was broken on May 12, 2022 credited to the Chief Press Secretary to the Kwara State Deputy Governor (Module Joel).

CKNG sees the purported Master Plan as a calculated cheat and detrimental to other parts of Kwara State, Kwara North in particular. While we are not oblivious of the fact that Ilorin, being a State Capital might arguably attract some preferencial attention from Kwara State Government, we believe that should not be at the expense and detriment of other components of the State and tax payers’ habitat that even need and deserve the gesture most, given their state of apparent infrastructural and human capital deficits.

CKNG is pretty sure that Mall. Abdulrahman AbdulRazak led Administration of Kwara State Government would not be perplexed at this statement but sees it as visionary support to the admistration toward having a better Kwara For All.

CKNG, in the best interest of Kwara North and Kwara State at large calls for amendment of the “Ilorin Master Plan” to Kwara Master Plan with priority to Kwara North that had been for long short-changed of infrastructure deficit for the following reasons:

You would agree with CKNG that, if Ilorin Master Plan is eventually implemented without same consideration for Kwara North, it will limit the sustainable development of our dear State. Due to the facts that, it would increase Rural Urban Migration menace, thereby hitting hard on the limited facilities concentrated in the State Capital (Ilorin) alone.
Kwara North is the food basket of Kwara and Industrial inputs-sourcing areas, yet, with deplorable roads that link up Baruten, Edu, Kaiama, Moro and Patigi LGs with the State Capital in terrible state of socioeconomic threat.

How then do Kwara achieve the sustainable development she talked about if these areas are not masterly planned for same way the State capital is being planned for?

Kwara North has the largest landmass with lots of pontentials such as agriculture, aquaculture, fisheries mining, forestry, water resources amongst others. All these are asking for prompt attention that would no doubt bring about yearning sustainable growth and development in Kwara State.
Kwara North is being threatened by poor education, health and other development institutions as a result of neglect and lack of deserving attention from the government.
In reference to Elites Network For Sustainable Development (ENetSuD), recent release of how the monthly federal allocations of some local governments in Kwara State are being used to run others through the Joint Account Allocation Committee (JAAC) which was never rebutted by the State Government,
it has shown that four (4) out of the five (5) Kwara North LGs: Baruteen, Edu, Kaiama and Patigi LGs have been turned to Father Christmas LGs shouldering the financial responsibilities and burdens of other LGs leaving them with their developmental challenges and youths unemployment unattended too. This, is a pointer to the high possiblity and tendency of Kwara North LGs fund being used in the implementation of the said Ilorin Master Plan, thereby, further subjecting Kwara North to more socioeconomic growth and development.

You can imagine if Kwara State Master Plan can capture these LGs, Kwara State would become enviable/ best State in the country by whatever parameters that would be used for its measurement, bcause the development through the master plan is all inclusive and evenly implemented across the State as against the current plan.

The best and fastest technique to achieving sustainable growth and development for all in any given State, is by decentralization and even disturbution of collective owned resources and institutions across the State. The ungodly attitude of centralization and concentration of all development driving apparatus in Ilorin, the State Capital has left other part of the State, particularly Kwara North in archaic state crying and battling with socioeconomic growth and development.
Nonetheless, CKNG observed that most of the points, if not all, highlighted to be the major aim of the said Ilorin Master Plan are sincerely and mostly more needed and deserving in Kwara North.

“Ilorin, which is one of the fastest-growing cities in Nigeria, will continue to record huge growth. This master plan, therefore, provides A-grade professional insights into how the city will be organised in the areas of transportation and utilities, waste management, water and drainage system, education, health, climate change management and green areas, job opportunities, agriculture, and future expansion of the city, among others’, he added.”

In the light of the above, CKNG is calling the Kwara State Government under the watch of His Excellency, Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazak for all inclusive Master Plan (Kwara Master Plan) that can be unbiasedly implemented across the State or down upside the priorities, to start with Kwara North, for a better Kwara and stand the test of time ” Sustainable Development” as against the current “Sectional Development”.

As part of concerted effort to encourage the Educational development in patigi local government and also in supporting the ongoing massively infrastructural development by H E, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq administration in the state, The TIC chairman patigi local government donated Exercise Books and writing materials to primary and junior secondary schools in patigi localgovernment area.

Alh. M I Liman (The chief servant of patigi local government) while donating the exercise books and writing materials to the school principles in patigi local government, said the gesture in to assist the less privileged and encourage them in their pursuit for a better education. We are sure this gesture will give confidence and encourage th parents not to give up in providing basic education for their children

The principles of the schools also express joy over the donations, they said the books will forsure boost the morale of the students and parents. ” we are elated over the gesture, it will boost the morale of the students to take their studies seriously. We are really grateful for the concern by the TIC chairman and Administration of Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq the Executive Governor of kwara sate for the ongoing massively infrastructural development in our schools”.

Alh. M I Liman Preaches Peace, Togetherness

TheTIC Chairman Patigi local government area, Alhaji Muhammad lbrahim Liman, today 19/10/2021 on behalf of good people of patigi local government, called on Muslim faithfusl to offer special prayers for greater peace, unity and continuous progress of state, as they join their counterparts across the world to celebrate Eid El Maulud, which is the birth of Prophet Mohammed.

The TIC chairman, in a statement, enjoined Muslims to follow the exemplary leadership of the Holy Prophet by promoting peaceful coexistence.

He implored kwarans to shun political and religious differences and work towards building a safer and better Kwara, he said the celebration of the birth of the Prophet should renew the faith and bond of unity as one people and one nation irrespective of our diversity.

“On this special day of the commemoration of the birth of the holy Prophet, it is imperative to reflect on his teachings and uphold his legacies of unity, integrity, peaceful coexistence and love for one’s neighbour, which are indispensable in our quest for meaningful development and the profitable management of our diversity,” he said.

Alh. M I Liman also urged Muslims to internalise the virtues of honesty, selflessness, charity, tolerance, good neighbourliness, justice, equity and fairness which Prophet Mohammed (PBOH) preached, saying such will go a long way to engender national development.

Alh M I Liman pray to Almighty Allah to bring ever lasting peace to the our great progressive party (APC) and to the State at large.

Hajia Aisha Ahman Pategi, Former Commissioner for Special Duties joined other well wishers to celebrate the Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi on his 56th birthday. She described the workaholic Alabi as a gentleman with the heart of gold. In her words, she said “Happy birthday to my brother, the kindest of souls, most loyal Deputy Governor ever… you are a rare gem and blessing to the good people of Kwara State.”

While thanking Almighty God for the life of the Deputy Governor which she described as a life well spent and worthy of emulation, she prayed that the uncreated creator of all creatures grant him sound health and unlimited wisdom to continue to work with His Excellency Alhaji Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman in piloting the affairs of the State in his capacity as the Deputy Governor for the growth and development of Kwara State.

Patigi LGA APC Support Groups Rejects Continuity of Party Executives; Calls for Proper Congress.

It has come to the notice of the Patigi LGA APC Party Loyalists and Support groups who have always worked for the success of the party at all times, a plot by few selfish party stakeholders and the executives to steal people’s mandates by calling for continuity of the current party executives against the wish of the people and even at the detriment of the security of the party’s future success and fortunes.

It’s a known fact that Patigi LGA has a traditional zoning system that avails every ward in the LGA the opportunity to taste every political office both elected and otherwise. It is absolutely unfortunate that the beneficiaries of the same zoning system are today calling for truncation of the same system after benefiting from it. We began to wonder if they would actually be occupying the same offices if their predecessors had been allowed to continue without congress. What a selfishness of the first order!

All electoral victories ever recorded in the political history of Patigi LGA is unargubly achieved by the peace and unity brought by respect for zoning system. Therefore, attempting to change this proven winning formula at this time that the Party is already fragmented at almost all levels will be succidal. The last time such was tried by our people in the other divide, the aftermath of that action is still hunting them up today.

APC as a party is our collective responsibility to develop and protect and it is on this premises that all APC support groups after wide consultations, met, discuss extensively and resolved that the best thing for the party at this critical time is to allow for a Congress to hold as scheduled by the national body of the party. The serving executive members who are still interested in returning should go back to their respective wards and ask for support. If they are reelected, good but the Congress must hold in the interest of not only peace and unity, but justice and fairness which every well-meaning party member should strive to promote at this critical time that internal party conflict resolution is of almost importance.

Power belongs to Allah and He gives it to whoever He pleases. Therefore, extremist in our midst who have degenerated to the extent of sponsoring thugs to disrupt the process should have a rethink as prosterity will judge them accordingly. You cannot destroy a system you have benefitted from for your personal interest and expect to have peace yourself. It is actually worrisome that at this time of wide spread insecurity, one will in his or her right senses will think of grooming thugs that unarguably usually result in more deadly criminality like Boko Haram, banditry and kidnapping simply because you want to remain in power that is not your birthright. What a shame, disappointment and height of insensitivity of selfishness.

As grassroot mobilizers, we must say that no alliances and counter alliances can undermine the will of the people who are determined to protect and defend their will and mandate no matter the forces behind the alliances. Power reside in the people and we are certain that the leadership of APC party would not want such power to be used against it sooner or later because of the interest of few who are fast loosing relevance and doing everything possible to remain at the party’s corridor of power even through crook means.

His Excellency, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is known for peace and only peace, justice, equity and fairness can reassure us victory for APC in Kwara come 2023 and one of the ways to that victory is changing our executives through a credible Congress. This, we believed, we save our great party APC from internal grouches and grievances that will breed internal spies and foes who might destroy the party from the inside.

What is good for the goose, is also good for the ganger.

June 12 Democracy Day; Patigi For Buhari Celebrate In Grand Style, Applaud A.A and Appeal for Renovation of Government Technical College, Patigi.

A renowned pro APC group in Patigi, Patigi For Buhari Organization has commemorated the June 12, Democracy Day celebration in grand style by organising students’ March Pass cum Cultural Display in Patigi LGA. The ceremony which was greeted with commendations for Patigi For Buhari for organizing such a befitting ceremony after a long time of non celebration was well attended by dignitaries. The TIC Chairman Hon. M.I Liman who was ably represented by Hon. Isaac Saba Zhirin, Supervisory Councillor for Agriculture congratulated the people for a functioning democracy and urged the people to continue to maintain peace and order while been their brother’s keeper.

The ceremony was marked with march pass from students of both primary and secondary schools in Patigi LGA who were seen expressing happiness as they display their extra curricular talents in groups competing for positions.

The Coordinator of Patigi For Buhari Organization, Hussaini Nda Muhammad while delivering his opening remark applauded President Muhammadu Buhari and Mallam Abdul-Rahman Abdul-Razak for the gargantuan and people’s oriented achievements of their administrations. The Coordinator who described Mallam Abdul-Rahman Abdul-Razak as a purposeful leader and a great departure from the ugly past appealed to His Excellency to consider the comprehensive renovation of Government Technical College Patigi as he did to Patigi Secondary School and Gboke LGEA Primary School which has changed the faces of both schools.
Also in his address, he appeal to the Governor on construction of more Rural Roads to bosst Economic activities and ease movement of goods from rural to Urban areas.

In the March Pass, Patigi Secondary School took first position while Unique Faith Progressive College took second position and Islamiyya College, Patigi took third position.

Meanwhile, Babarani Future Assured Academy took first position in the primary section while Bologi Nursery and Primary School took second position and SIM LGEA School took third position.
